Wiltshire police have named the man killed in Pewsey
THE name of an elderly man who died in Pewsey before Christmas in a road accident has been released by the police.
Former RAF serviceman 83-year-old William Westerberg, better known as Denis, died following an accident on December 16, in the middle of the day at 12.15pm in Church Street on the A345.
The resident of Pewsey was taken to hospital but died on December 22, 2018.
Police confirmed he was involved in a collision with a Honda Civic and said they believed he fell into the side of the car sustaining injuries.
They said: "Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time."
