Shop and store owners in Marlborough are breathing a sign of relief as Christmas shoppers head into town.
The roadworks on the Pewsey Road that looked set to put off some bargain hunters have gone.
With the flood gates open the town's independent shops that give Marlborough a unique flavour are seeing last minute shoppers seeking out those essential gifts before the big day.
Earlier this month cables were laid for the college with the road into the town subject to lights and delays. However the work was quickly completed allowing the traffic to flow as normal.
