ON November 13, the Pewsey Male Voice Choir presented a cheque to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
A sizeable contingent of members and supporters went over to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance HQ at Semington to serenade the helicopter, fundraising staff and aircrew whilst handing over a cheque for £2,000.
Founded in 2006, the choir sing for the fun of it with the aim of bringing our audiences the same pleasure.
By doing so successfully they have been instrumental in raising thousands of pounds for charities such as Comic Relief, Macmillan Nurses, Brighter Futures, The Fire Fighters' Charity, Children with Cancer, Julia's House, Devizes PHAB, Pewsey Heritage Centre, Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Alzheimer's Support and, of course, via Pewsey Carnival, local hospices and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance is an essential helicopter emergency medical service, primarily for the people of Wiltshire and adjacent English counties, and those passing through the county. It is run by Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust, a registered charity.
