POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a road traffic collision near Avebury on Friday evening.
Mark Simpson, 58, and lived near Marlborough, died following the crash at around 6.30pm on November 30.
The two-vehicle fatal collision happened on the A4361, approximately one mile north of Avebury at Winterbourne Bassett. For reasons unknown, a white Ford Focus collided with a grey Land Rover Freelander, causing both vehicles to leave the road.
The police investigation into the collision is ongoing and they would ask anyone with information to contact PC Richard Hatch from Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting Log 255 of 30/11/18.
