A PRIMARY school in Devizes is to be come to a Christmas Day lunch which has become so popular it had to find a bigger venue.
St James Church is hosting its third Christmas Day lunch at Trinity Primary which is open to anyone who wants a traditional meal and company.
The Rev Keith Brindle said: “Every year Christmas seems to come earlier and get more frenetic. We hope that by running the Christmas lunch, and the other things we do, we can begin to appreciate what the Ultimate Gift of the birth of a baby over 2,000 years ago really meant. The Ultimate Gift that brings us a true sense of joy and peace throughout the year.”
The lunch is funded through donations from parishioners of St James church and the local community. The lunch is free of any charge to the guests.
Many volunteers have come forward to help make the day special but now the church wants guests to sign up. Booking is essential. Email: christmaslunch@st-james-devizes.org.uk or telephone 07771 632408.
