AFTER feedback from followers a Trowbridge choir has reverted to its original name and is once again known as the Trowbridge Philharmonic Choir.
Under the direction of Graham Dalby, founder of the renowned London Swing Orchestra and The Western Wynde, members are putting the final touches to their Christmas concert which is on
Saturday, December 8 at 7.30pm at St. James’ Church Trowbridge.
This year's exciting programme includes Handel’s Zadok the Priest, Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Tchaikovsky’s The Crown of Roses plus many seasonal favourites. The Mozart has some tricky parts but the ever patient Graham is helping singers master this beautiful vocal piece. It’s hard to believe that Mozart was only 23 when he composed this sacred work.
They are also performing In Dulci Jubilo in 8 part harmony which features solo lines by members.
On the night we the choir will be joined by soloists Stephanie Foster, Cassie Dalby, Graham Case and Ed Coton.
If you love singing, why not join Trowbridge Philharmonic Choir in January. They meet at Holbrook Primary School, Holbrook Lane, Mondays at 7.30pm. New members are always welcome.
