TICKETS for the first ever Lyneham Military Wives carol concert in the MRG Volvo showroom in Chippenham have sold out.

The Chippenham Motor Company invited the community to join them on Saturday 1 December to enjoy mulled wine and a mince pie, and to hear a selection of Christmas carols.

The concert will raise funds for the charity Wiltshire Home for Veterans, a vital local service that provides housing and support to ex-Service personnel who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.

Spokeswoman Catherine Fallon said: "We’re so excited, the concert is going to be a great start to the festive period. We’ll have the Christmas tree, and the choir will be there singing carols.

“As it is 100 years since the end of the First World War, veterans will be in all our minds, and homeless veterans even more so.”

The Lyneham Military Wives Choir formed in January last year, and is comprised of serving military veterans and military wives.
