THE Wishing Tree will be open for business in Corsham High Street , when all the good boys and girls - and adults too - can make a festive wish and hope that it comes true.

Corsham Town Council's Wishing Tree will be taking wishes between 10am and 1pm on Saturday December 1.

All you need to do is visit the tree and write your wish, which will be popped into a Christmas bauble and hung it on the tree, ready for Father Christmas to pick up when next he is passing.

The Wishing Tree does not make a charge but there will be a collection for the town council's chosen charity.

Corsham's Christmas lights go on the following week, on Friday December, when Father Christmas will be making a special visit along with his reindeer.

The Christmas Lights Switch On in the High Street will feature a Christmas market, entertainments and live music on a stage outside the town hall, fairground rides for younger children, and lots more.

The big Christmas event, organised by Corsham Town Council, starts at 5pm, with the lights going on at 6pm.
