THE cast of Benidorm Live took the audience on a fabulous three star holiday to the Solana in sunny Costa Blanca where they provided top notch entertainment.

Being the original cast from the TV series made this production one of a kind, and made the fans feel like they had paid their own visit to the Spanish coast.

The audience were in stitches uncountable times as the cast played up their usual slapstick comedy, with Jacqueline played by Janine Duvitski being a clear crowd favourite.

The indirect adult humour suited the exaggerated characters down to the ground and reflected the comedy gold loved by fans in the TV show.

Benidorm's classic stereotype greasy Spanish bar man Mateo played by Jake Canuso got the biggest applaud when he first appeared on stage and his dance breaks were exceptional. Kenneth played by Tony Maudsley was also a comedic hit.

The audience took Liam, played by Adam Gillen under their wing as the young, camp hairdresser who gets home sick and misses his father back in the UK. His humour was endearing as he took to the microphone to sing Unforgettable by Irving Gordon.

Incorporating singing and dancing into various scenes, most of which were at Neptune's Bar, gave the production a musical feel which the audience seemed to love, clapping, singing and dancing along with the cast.

Asa Elliott's overall performance as Neptune's Bar resident singer was brilliant and he got the audience on their feet.

The moving set seamlessly took us from the Solana reception to the pool, the infamous blow and go hairdressers and Neptune's Bar.

This adaption of the popular TV series was a feel good comedy with a much loved cast who had won the hearts of the audience before stepping out on stage.
