A GIRL hit by a car in Stratton on Friday remains in a critical condition in hospital, police have said.
The 11-year-old was rushed to hospital in Bristol by paramedics after she was struck by a silver Mercedes at around 2pm on Meadowcroft.
Wiltshire Police said a 26-year-old local man was behind the wheel of the Mercedes C180 car.
The girl remains in a critical condition.
Appealing for witnesses to the crash, PC Alan King of the Tri-Force roads policing unit said: “Anyone with information about the collision or the identities of the drivers is requested to contact me by calling 101.”
