PIPERS Way remains partially blocked at the Marlborough Road roundabout, as Thames Water engineers work to fix a burst water main.
The road is blocked northbound between the turning to Marlborough Park and the roundabout.
Engineers have been at the site since Friday afternoon, following reports of the burst main. Water could be seen flooding from the roundabout towards the Marriott Hotel, leaving sand drifts along Marlborough Lane.
There is a hole in the road around a metre deep and extending over two lanes of Pipers Way.
Last night, Swindon Borough Council said the road would be open again this morning.
We are aware of the burst water main along Pipers Way. @WWUtilities have arranged for @thameswater to temporarily close from Nationwide to the Marriott roundabout after 7pm to fix the damage.
