LARGE poppies, displayed throughout Royal Wootton Bassett town centre, are a visible reminder of this weekend’s Remembrance Day, in tribute especially to the local Service personnel who lost their lives in two World Wars.
The poppies have been financed by local company Phoenix Transport Solutions (PTS) whose representative Paul Turner presented a cheque for £300 to Poppy Appeal Organiser Richard Collins, at the War Memorial.
Royal British Legion representative Bryan Kingscote, who attended the ceremony, expressed the branch’s appreciation to Mr Turner.
