Students at Devizes School planted poppies on the Quad today as more than 50 guests attended the moving ceremony to mark the Armistice.
They listened to a ready by the Rev Keith Brindle and observed a two minute silence to remember the fallen and mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
The whole school took part in service just before 11am and were joined by pupils from nearby primary schools.
Two Tommy figures made by DT technician Carly Hayter stood guard in the Quad.
The Devizes school pupils also took part in year group assemblies taken by their history teachers.
