Independent recruitment firm 24-7 Staffing is celebrating the tenth anniversary of branch manager Shane Stevens.

Shane, whose background was in transport and warehousing, joined 24-7 Staffing in 2008, starting at the Chippenham head office. In 2010 he took up the challenge to build and make a success of the Bristol office, and in 2015 he relocated to head up the new Salisbury branch and has made a huge success of that too.

Shane is the first of the 24-7 Staffing team, under its new rewards and recognition scheme, to reach the ten year anniversary. Company bosses Melody and Julian Thompson surprised him with a cake, balloons, party poppers and a thank you cheque.

“I knew something was happening but I didn’t know what and it was a total surprise,” said Shane. “I really love working for 24-7 Staffing and in recruitment. No one day is the same, and I love the challenge of getting a project with perhaps a dozen vacancies that need filling, and then achieving that goal. It’s a great feeling of job satisfaction.”

Director Melody said: “Shane is a fantastic branch manager and from the moment he started with 24-7 Staffing was a real asset to the business. He made a great success of our new Bristol branch and has done the same at our Salisbury office.”

Shane was instrumental recently in landing a new, four-year contract to supply industrial and driving staff to Test Valley Borough Council in Andover. A father to two teenagers and lifelong Liverpool FC fan, Shane said: “I loved making a success of the Bristol and Salisbury branches, so as and when 24-7 Staffing opens a new branch I’d love the challenge of setting that up.”
