EMPLOYEES of a fashion firm have donated £5,000 to Julia's House Children's Hospice after taking part in a sponsored walk.
Mistral staff walked 10k on a circular route that started and finished in Avebury after head of sales and marketing Lucy Clayphan and warehouse manager Iain Richards came up with the idea.
Ms Clayphan said: "Our owner John Lewis, visited Julia's House recently with his wife Lidiya and was blown away by not only the fun environment for children but the care and facilities available to create wonderful memories."
Mistral, which is based in Calne, is a women's clothing brand with outlets all over the country. Mr Lewis daughter Tracey Garreffa and his wife presented the cheque to Ged Montgomery from Julia's House at its Devizes hospice.
Mr Lewis said: "Julia's House is a fantastic charity that provides invaluable support to the local community and beyond. We are pleased to know our donation will help facilitate the incredible work the charity does for local children and their family. As a business based in Wiltshire we are proud to support our local community and its charities.”
