AN opticians in Devizes has been recognised for its high standards of health and safety with a prestigious award.
Specsavers in The Brittox received the coveted Health and Safety Platinum five status for its health and safety practices following an annual inspection.
Optical assistant, Vivienne Milne is the store’s health and safety champion who works to ensure all the criteria is met.
Store director Karen Carvallo said: "Viv is an asset to the team here in Devizes and has been with us for 18 years.
"Her commitment to the health and safety of customers in store is admirable.
"We put health and safety at the forefront of all we do.
"We are always ensuring we are following the right processes.
"Therefore, we’re delighted to be able to display this award."
The accreditation was secured after demonstrating excellence in all areas of health and safety, including alarms, fire safety and equipment used in store to name a few.
The Platinum award is the highest accolade a Specsavers store can be awarded for health and safety efforts.
