In the opening round of the A & B Cup, there were comfortable wins for Division One Freshford, Hilperton and Heytesbury over their Division Two opponents.

Freshford travelled to the Sulis Club to face Bath side Aces, where a Sean Horobin triple made up half of their tally, with further goals from Alfie Little, Jamie Parlour and Dave Percival.

Ashley Maslen scored the Aces consolation in the 6-1 defeat.

Heytesbury put nine past Westbury United Development, the visitors themselves scoring four.

Craig Sheppard came off the bench to score five times for the villagers, while Liam Gibbens bagged a brace, with Brendan Hind and Adrian Vintileanu making up the tally.

Dan Ball, Tyler Gane, George Pawling and Josh Whitehead were on target for Westbury.

In the all-Division Two clash, Trowbridge Wanderers Development hosted Greyhound FC, who progressed to the next round winning by the odd goal in seven.

Home scorers were Damien Hateley, Liam Lawes and Louis Stillman, with Simon Parfitt's double, Saul Johnson and Lee Ridout on target for Greyhound.

First Division Hilperton made the trip to Zeals and beat their Division Two opponents 7-1.

Kierran Ramsey scored five times and was joined on the scoresheet by teammates Luke Murden and Daniel Plank.

Ethan Wilkinson scored the consolation goal for Zeals.

Warminster United put a young Melksham Town A side to the sword 3-1, James Vincent scoring twice and Paul Farrell the other for United.

Jack Woolsgrove netted for Melksham.
