REGISTERED nurses who are hoping to return to work invited to attend an open day at the Royal United Hospitals Bath, October 2, between 2pm and 4pm.

The open day is primarily for those who currently work in the community, especially elderly care, who are interested in returning to work in an acute care environment.

The staff will provide tours of the older person’s award- winning wards which have been designed to meet the specific needs of elderly patients, especially those with Parkinson’s disease or dementia. The wards have previously won the Elder Friendly Quality Mark.

The reminiscent interactive technology will also be demonstrated to those visiting, displaying how it can be used as part of the Friendly Faces Project for patients living with dementia.

Staff will also be there to answer questions and talk about what it is like to work for the Trust.

Matron at Royal United Hospitals Bath, said: “If you are registered with an active Nursing and Midwifery Council PIN, come along and find out about our bespoke return to acute care programme which will bring you up to date with the latest changes and best practice to enable you to commence an exciting career with us.
