YOUNGSTERS at a village primary have been busy creating scarecrows as their school prepares to hold its first ever trail on Saturday and Sunday.

Organisers hope people will turn out in force from 10am to 4pm on both days at Dauntsey Academy Primary School in West Lavington, near Devizes to see the weird and wonderful crows.

Money raised will go to school funds.

In addition to the main trail there will also be a children's trail so the whole family can enjoy trying to work out what the scarecrows represent.

In addition to the trails there will also be a variety of stalls selling refreshments including a barbecue, bar and tea and cakes. There will also be a raffle, tombolas, games and sideshows.

School admin assistant Mandy Francis said: "We have seen pictures of some of the scarecrows being made and they are really fantastic. We have asked parents and pupils to spread the word and it is set to be a fantastic event."
