PUPILS at Ramsbury Primary are celebrating after their school is named as the top performing in sport in Wiltshire and Swindon.
The school welcomed special guest Steve Boocock, CEO of Wiltshire and Swindon Sport who presented them with the award last week.
Throughout the year, children from key stage two participated in nineteen different sporting competitions including football, tennis, hockey, netball, tag rugby, cricket, curling and athletics.
Presenting the year six sports leaders with the trophy for the award, Steve Boocock said: "It’s not just the passion that the children show for all of these different sports and their teamwork, it’s that so many children from Ramsbury school participate in such a wide range of activities, extremely well done to Ramsbury."
Kirsty Miles, PE teacher at Ramsbury said: "I am absolutely delighted with both awards, which reinforce our philosophy at Ramsbury of involving as many children in as many activities as possible."
