A woman was left heartbroken after losing the pendant from a necklace given to her by her late husband on their wedding day when it fell off the chain.
Former mayor of Marlborough Marian Hannaford-Dobson took her grandchildren to Shaw Ridge bowling alley and McDonalds in Ashworth Road, Swindon last Thursday (August 23) before returning home and realising that the gold bow pendant with a bell had fallen off.
The necklace was given to her by her late husband, David Hannaford on their wedding day in 1964.
Due to it’s high sentimental value, Mrs Hannaford-Dobson, of Lime Court in Marlborough, is offering a £50 reward for anyone who finds and returns the pendant safely.
She said: “The chain itself broke and the pendant rolled off. I looked in the car all through the house, we have been through everything.
“This pendant means everything to me and I don’t feel whole without it. It has been a much loved part of my life for 54 years.
“I wont ask any questions, I will just pay the rewarded and take it back. I just want to returned to me, getting it back is all that matters.
“People have been so kind and tried to help its been amazing really and I cant thank them enough.”
