AN exhibition highlighting the importance of the RAF sites at Yatesbury, Cherhill, Compton Bassett and Townsend during world war one and world war two was held by Yatesbury Association earlier this month.
Local historian Richard Broadhead provided a display depicting personnel who served on the camp, with pictures and a personal history behind the faces.
Committee members also brought along their own personal memorabilia to the exhibition.
Wiltshire Bee Centre, who now run their business on part of the old airfield, gave a presentation of their plans for the old NAAFI building.
Rosie Watt, Secretary of the Association, said: “We were pleased by the number of local people visiting the exhibition and still more stories were coming to light about those who played such a vital part on the camp.”
