WILTSHIRE Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a road traffic collision near Lacock last night (Sun, Aug 5).

The crash between a Kawasaki motorbike and a Vauxhall Insignia car happened on the A350, at the junction with Melksham Road, Lacock, at 10.20pm yesterday.

The motorbike was travelling south on the A350 when it collided with the car.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from the Devizes area, was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the car received minor injuries.

The road was closed for around four-and-a-half hours, while emergency services dealt with the incident, and reopened shortly after 3am today.
