SECRECY surrounded the unveiling of Rushall School’s newest art work designed and created by a local artist with the help of pupils and staff.
The patchwork style art project was carried out to highlight the school’s values of Respect, Perseverance, Kindness, and Togetherness and included pinned and stitched fabric pieces made by the pupils and stitched together by Sue Faux of Faux Arts in Marlborough.
Anne Curry from the Pewsey primary school said: “The final result of all of their efforts was unveiled to the pupils on Friday in a special celebration assembly which was attended by parents, governors, friends, and Rushall’s previous head teacher Marion Harvey. Everyone was absolutely delighted with the artwork and it was blessed and dedicated to the school by Rushall’s ex officio governor Reverend Jennifer Totney.
“The Artwork will be displayed in the school so that everyone can see Rushall’s Golden Values every day.”
As the school nears the end of term a House Team Challenge week was organised by deputy head teacher Katie Turner including a sports day, tug of war, quizzes and competitions.
