RISING talent singer songwriter Tom Grennan has smashed a World Record attempt by performing the most gigs in different towns in 12 hours, finishing up at Sound Knowledge in Marlborough.

Tom’s track Found What I’ve Been Looking For has featured as Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World among others and the World Record holder singer played his new single Royal Highness to hundreds of fans during at the day of gigs.

For the launch of his album Lighting Matches, he spend July 11 rushing round the country in a bid to play the most gigs ever in 12 hours.

The tour finished at Sound Knowledge in Marlborough and Roger Mortimer of Sound Knowledge said: “Originally it was due to be one gig with a signing and as time went on it evolved into the world record attempt. He started in Manchester and worked his way to us to play on our terrace of the café in front of hundreds of people. He then did an album signing while he watched the football. He was very down to earth and sat with everyone else who wanted to stay and want to match.

“Logistically it was quite difficult because the timing when he was due to get here would often change, first he was due to get there at 7pm, then 8pm then in the end he was here at 6.15pm but we did it.”

Death Havana will be performing a short acoustic set at Sound Knowledge on the High Street 1pm on August 9 and Ten Millennia is performing on August 18.
