THREE men were arrested on Thursday (July 12) on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

Shortly before 6pm, officers rushed to a house in the Calne area and seized over £2,000 cash, a quantity of suspected heroin and cocaine, mobile phones, drugs paraphernalia as well as replica hand guns and a machete.

Two men aged 20 and 23 from Northern Ireland and a 29-year-old from Chippenham were all arrested and taken to Melksham custody for questioning. They remain in custody at this time.

DS Geoff Smith, of the Dedicated Crime Team, said: "We will act on information we receive from our local community regarding drug activity in their area. Drugs gangs can cause a huge amount of disruption to a neighbourhood and we are committed to tackling this criminality.

"We encourage members of the public to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhood which could be drug related. This could be anything from a number of unfamiliar people or vehicles calling at an address at unsociable hours, or suspicious smells coming from an address. Please call police on 101."
