CORSHAM Walking Festival saw hundreds of people of all ages and abilities put on their walking boots and head out for three days of beautiful walks around the Wiltshire countryside.
The festival, which is in its fifth year had a variety of free walks to suit all levels and interests.
The walks were centred around the Springfield Community Campus, however a few took place in nearby villages to allow walkers to see further afield.
The festival also included a children’s treasure hunt, a nordic walking taster and a quiz
Corsham Walking Festival publicity officer Barry Cox, said: “Walking festivals are a fantastic way to get active, see some of the beautiful countryside, and learn a little bit more about your surroundings and last but by no means least have some fun.
The fifth Corsham Walking Festival was a great success with 394 walkers registering for 27 walking events, and 83 friends and family attending our quiz and supper evening.
“This year we had walkers coming from as far afield as Hammersmith and Fulham.
“The Festival is mainly self-supporting but relies upon the excellent sponsorship and support we receive from the Corsham Area Board, Town Council and many local businesses for which we are most grateful. Many thanks also to the committee and the many volunteers and supporters who without their help such events like these would not take place.”
