CLAY pigeon shooting had teams getting competitive during the sixth biannual fundraising event held by Bishops Cannings Cricket Club.
Teams took part in the shooting day at Wellington barn near Calshot before a charity auction was held, with the day raising in excess of £50k.
The club has now raised £220,000 for charities during the six shooting days that are held every other year.
Chairman Ed Davies said: “It was a great event, the weather was kind to us and we had 39 teams take part over the day. We had a hugely successful auction as well and the day raised between £50k- £55k.
“The money will be donated to a range of charities including Opportunity centre Devizes, the Wiltshire Air ambulance a charity for people with genetic born disease Ataxia but in particular the majority will go to Julia’s house.”
