FINAL touches are being put in place ahead of the world premiere of new play Broken Wings at the Wharf Theatre in Devizes.
Set in an unknown time and location, the story centres around a teenage refugee and an adopted child dealing with her own personal conflict. Zara is therapist to one and mother to the other and is led to question her role with both.
Writer Ann Cooper penned the play after working as a therapist in Bosnia with victims of concentration camps. With strong language and disturbing themes, the play is not recommended for young audiences.
The show takes to the stage on June 19-23, and tickets can be bought from Devizes Community Hub and Library on Sheep Street, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm or by ringing 03336 663 366.
