CONSTRUCTION work is set to begin on a home on Dunkirk Hill, Devizes after owners successfully appealed against a decision to refuse planning permission for an extension. The planning inspectorate ruled: “Although the proposed extension would contrast with the existing house, its

simple form and clean lines would complement the house’s uncomplicated

design.” The two story extension was originally refused due to concerns over its character and appearance with the local area.

Objection letters also highlighted a possible loss of privacy due to the design of the proposal.
