A 53-year-old man is in a critical condition in Southmead Hospital after swerving his car to avoid a deer.
The collision took place at 6.40am on Saturday (May 12) between Colerne and Ford.
The driver of the silver Vauxhall swerved to avoid a muntjac deer but lost control and crashed into a wall.
He sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital.
His 22-year-old daughter who was passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to Southmead for checks.
