A YOUTH theatre group is hoping the success of its latest show will help it recruit even more youngsters who want to act, sing and dance.

Mac's Theatre School, Devizes, won rave reviews for its production of Our House which had a cast and crew of more than 50 students and showcased a complex story of two parallel worlds. A bit like Sliding Doors with Madness songs all performed at Devizes School.

Director Stuart MacFarlane said: "This was a challenging show, with swift costumes changes, an adventurous lighting rig, complex dance routines inspired by Madness Album covers and their music videos, and a band that plays for 70 per cent of the show. I am so proud of what our students achieved and can’t wait to build on this success with our next show

"With an ambitious set, stunning lighting, a wonderful live band and of course, beautiful acting, this really was a show that lived up to the companies mantra, performing excellence as the standard."

New Members are welcome from six year olds at Mini Mac’s on Saturdays and 11-18 year olds for the main shows. A trip to Disneyland Paris in 2019 is being organised to perform on one of their main stages if the school gets through the audition stages. For more information www.macstheatreschool.co.uk
