HEYTESBURY were confirmed as Division Two runners up following their 3-2 victory at home to champions Holt.

Needing just one point from their remaining two matches to clinch promotion back to Division One, they did in style as they twice came from behind before grabbing a late winner to secure maximum points.

Jordan Pinder’s cross was turned home by Mark Maguire on eight minutes to give Holt the lead.

Good work from Harry Waylen saw him play in Craig Sheppard who restored parity on 26 minutes.

Two excellent saves from Heytesbury keeper Sam Spratt saw him deny Maguire and Pinder a second for Holt, before Maguire grabbed his second to put Holt 2-1 on 59 minutes.

Heytesbury got themselves back on level terms for a second time when Sheppard scored from the penalty spot after Waylen had been upended on 78 minutes.

With two minutes remaining an excellent ball from Bradley Edwards to Sheppard saw him control the ball superbly before firing home his and Heytesbury third of a thrilling game that saw Waylen hit the bar for the hosts and the woodwork deny Maguire an equaliser for Luxol late on. Melksham Town B look on course for a third-placed finish after defeating Zeals 6-3.

Ben Lewis, Julian Putt and Richie Wyatt were on target for Melksham in a first half that saw Aaron Carter’s double keep Zeals in it.

Second-half goals from Lewis and Wyatt and a Ben Winn effort made up Melksham’s six, while Scott Talbot netted for the hosts.
