A PHOTOGRAPHER has used a drone to take some unconventional photos of Ramsbury countryside from the sky and create a calendar for the village.
Philip Perkins, of Ashley Piece, Ramsbury, bought the drone last year and after mastering the techniques of flying the small unmanned aircraft began capturing images.
Sales from the calendar have since raised £1,700 and will be donated to the Post Office to keep the community service going.
He said: “I found it fascinating being able to get shots of the village from above that others hadn’t seen before.
“It was a bit of a novelty to take photos from such a high level but they have proved very popular.
“It has taken a fair amount of time to take the shots but doing it all for the first time has been quite exciting.
“The post office is a vital service for people in the village, if we were to lose it it would rip the heart out of the village.”
