REAL life sheep will take centre stage at the aptly named Sheep Street Baptist Church, Devizes, on December 9 when a nativity display with a difference is brought to life.
Farmers Muriel and Cameron Naughton from Bishops Cannings will be bringing several of their flock to church from 10am to 1pm to join in the scene that will include lanterns made by children and cut outs of hundreds of stars.
Mrs Naughton said: "Sheep Street Baptist Church will be transformed with hand-crafted, life-size, nativity silhouettes, lights, stars, lanterns and angels. There are no charges for this event. Sheep Street Baptist Church wants to welcome people to take time-out from the hectic, commercial pressures of Christmas, to take the weight off their feet and enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of cake and pause for a moment to appreciate the real meaning of Christmas.
"All ages can enjoy the opportunity to come and make some of their own decorations at the craft workshops which will be running during the event."
