Toilets in George Lane in Malborough will be fitted with two CCTV cameras funded by Marlborough Town Council.
The council agreed to have the cameras fitted at a cost of just under £6850 in reaction to complaints about anti social behaviour in the area.
Mayor Mervyn Hall described the installation as an important feature that would improve the security of the building in the future.
The council also agreed to turn the former disabled toilet into another another cubicle at a cost of £22,000 in order to meet the shortage of public toilets in the town for tourists and shoppers.
Quotes will also be obtained for new roof tiles on the toilets and a quote for the installation of a defibrillator will be gained by the Town Council.
The town’s Free Community WiFi coverage will be extended to include the George Lane toilets.
