WILTSHIRE opticians Haine & Smith have chosen their charity of the year for 2017, when the 19 branches in the county will be raising money for Guide Dogs UK.
Partner Barry Smith explained: “We are delighted to be supporting Guide Dogs once again as they provide an essential role in our local communities to blind and partially sighted people. Our staff jointly selected Guide Dogs by a vote and I know they are very much energised to help Guide Dogs as much as they can in the year to come.”
The firm has a proud history of supporting local community charities, with their Charitable Trust being set up in 1995 to invest back into the local community, home to both the loyal employees and patients who support us.
Guide Dogs UK's Wiltshire community fundraising manager Gemma Nightingale, who works with over 40 firms across the county who have charity partnerships, said: says “We are absolutely delighted that Haine & Smith Opticians have chosen Guide Dogs UK for the coming year as their charity partner. While Guide Dogs is certainly a national charity, we rely on local support to provide our life-changing services to people living with sight loss in the Wiltshire area.”
