THE poultry meat sector is committed to feeding the nation with safe, wholesome and nutritious food with no compromise on standards.
British poultry is a national success story because of good animal husbandry practices and high health and welfare standards.
Large-scale farming done to a high standard is a national asset. Bird welfare can’t be judged on the size of the farm, it’s much more about how they are farmed and looked after. We are proud of our farmers and the way we farm.
The campaign groups that suggest large-scale farming offers anything other than good bird welfare standards are either ignorant or dishonest.
This country needs to feed itself and these attempts to undermine British farmers are against the national interest.
