POLICE reported just two arrests during the WOMAD festival over the weekend.
Around 40,000 people converged on Charlton Park for the four-day music and dance extravaganza.
A man of 18 from Malmesbury was arrested on suspicion of common assault on Sunday and was taken to the custody suite at Gablecross. He was later dealt with by way of an adult caution.
Another 18-year-old from Cornwall was also arrested at the site in the early hours of Monday on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Sergeant Sean Brady said: “As always, WOMAD was a good natured, family friendly event.
“There was approximately 40,000 people of all ages at the festival over the weekend, so from a policing perspective, to have just two arrests is testament to the hard work by the organisers, partner agencies and the officers who attended the event to ensure everyone was kept safe.”
