FURTHER to my previous letter about what Ms Perry referred to as ‘gutter politics’, I was wondering whether the following fits into that definition.
When you run an election campaign based on personal attacks of the opposition leader, including his links with Sinn Fein, then seek an agreement with a party that opposes abortion or same-sex marriage, refuses to accept climate change as an issue, and has a leader in Arlene Foster that met the leader of the paramilitary UDA (Ulster Defence Association) within 48 hours of the loyalist feud murder in Bangor of Colin Horner in front of his three-year-old son, surely this should qualify as gutter politics?
