Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, helped raise more than £15,000 for Youth Action Wiltshire.

The Duchess is patron of the charity and she was guest of honour at a dinner held at Longford Castle near Salisbury, home of the Earl of Radnor.

The money, which will go into the charity's general fund, was raised through the sale of tickets for the evening on June 21, which was held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Youth Action Wiltshire.

Lord Folkestone, who hosted the dinner, said: "We were delighted and honoured that Her Royal Highness was able to join us at Longford for what was a very enjoyable occasion and a chance to thank the many supporters of this wonderful charity."

Among the guests were the Marquis of Lansdowne, previous president of YAW, Sarah Troughton, the current president and James Layton, chairman.

The Earl of Radnor's family started YAW in 1947 with a collection of youth clubs all over the county.

The aim today is to support youth clubs and thereby encourage young people to live active, healthy and fulfilled lives and keep out of trouble.
