A YOUNG team from Devizes Rugby Club is celebrating after making it all the way to the final at a prestigious mini-rugby festival.
The U12s were at Barnstaple rugby club to take part in the West Coast Rugby Rocks festival which is billed as the UKs biggest of its type in the Uk and attracts 10,000 players and coaches.
A spokesman for the Devizes U12s said: "The U12s played magnificently and made it all the way through to the cup grand final, where they met a strong team from Hayward's Heath.
"On the way, the Devizes RFC U12s dispatched some very strong opponents, including Bridgnorth and Cheltenham. Despite a strong performance, we lost the final, but by getting there, we finished second best team of a total of 21 teams from all across England and Wales. This was a fantastic end to a great season and all the players, their parents and us coaches really enjoyed the experience."
