AFTER reading the letter from Nicholas Fogg last week (Roads are appalling), I would also like to know why the Parade has only been half-resurfaced/tarmacked.
It is a very busy little area in Marlborough, with a school, fire station, takeaways, shops, pubs, a hotel, houses and parking for several cars, yet only the centre part was resurfaced, and the rest is full of potholes.
Yet leading off the Parade is Kennet Place, a quiet street with a few houses on one side and the river on the other. This street has been resurfaced tarmacked very well.
Why has the council made the decision to leave half the Parade in such a bad state?
