YOUNG farmers from Calne, who drove their tractors across the countryside for a Christmas challenge, raised more than £400 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Starting at the Pound Farm shop in Lyneham and moving onto Dauntsey, Brinkworth, Royal Wootton Bassett, Avebury, the Calne Young Farmers armed with dozens of decorated tractors, enjoyed their tractor and tinsel Christmas road run before returning to the town in the afternoon.
Chair Charlotte Jones said: "We had a lot of supporters which we would like to thank for watching and enjoying. I would like to thank Jack's family and friends that all kindly helped support the tractor run including his father Tim Webb for planning a brilliant route. Also, my sister Sadie Jones for the photography and James Hutchinson for all your help and support."
The farmers, who gave a beep and a wave to passing tourists and supporters in Avebury during the challenge on Sunday, December 4, also competed with one another for the best decorated tractor.
Miss Jones added: "I believe everyone had a great day and thank you to all the Calne club members, we could not done this without all of you. We hope you can join us next year for another great road run."
