POLICE are urging motorists to take care after a water pipe, which burst just off the B4696 towards Royal Wootton Bassett, has flooded the road causing icy conditions.
Water engineers have been busy trying to repair the leak at Wood Lane since Wednesday evening and the roads have been salted in an attempt to ease the conditions.
A Thames Water spokesman said: "We sent a team out to fix a leak from one of our pipes yesterday and we are continuing to work on this today (Thurs). As a consequence, the traffic lights are still in place for everyone's safety.
"We are sorry for the disruption but it is expected this work will be completed today and the road will be repaired by tomorrow."
