EXPECT increased firing noise levels this week as the mightiest weapons are put through their paces on Salisbury Plain.

Military vehicle movement will also increase, says 14 Regiment Royal Artillery, during the combined arms manoeuvre and live firing demonstration 2016.

"The combined arms demonstration brings together all weapons systems from across the services, ranging from the 60mm mortar right up to the Apache gunship and shows commanders and defence personnel the capabilities the British Armed Forces can deliver in a contemporary operating environment," the regiment said.

"Every effort will be made to ensure that impulse noise levels do not exceed excessive levels, however due to the fact that the range boundary is immediately to the north of Larkhill Garrison the effects of noise and vibration may still be felt within the garrison area."
