POLICE are investigating claims made by a 12-year-old Chippenham girl that she had a gun pointed at her.
The alleged incident happened at 5.48pm last Thursday (April 14), when the girl was walking home alone from Pewsham Park when she spotted two men at the junction of Canal Road and Wicks Drive.
She claims one of the men looked over at her from across the road before pulling what is described as a hand gun out of his pocket, pointing it at her and threatening to kill her.
The girl then ran off from the area and into an afterschool club at the nearby Kings Lodge School where she told staff.
The first man, who pulled the gun, is described as black, 5’9, in his 30s, and was wearing a black leather jacket, black boots, jeans and a black hat.
The second man is described as white, who was wearing a long sleeve red puffer jacket and was on a silver mountain bike with a red stripe.
A police spokesperson said: “We are taking these claims seriously and are investigating.”
