FAMILIES in Marlborough have been busy scattering seeds at Stonebridge Wild River Reserve.
Regular Action for the River Kennet volunteers were joined by families to scatter wildflower and grass seeds in Stonebridge Meadow, which is jointly owned with Marlborough Town Council, in a section that is being managed with the long-term aim to create a wildflower meadow, aided by conservation grazing cattle.
ARK project officer Anna Forbes said: “It was a really fun afternoon for everyone who participated, with such a good community turnout.
“It was lovely to see people working together and investing in this brilliant amenity. This is a long-term project so there will be many more opportunities to get involved.”
