A GROUP of pupils from Bitham Brook Primary School visited Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition in Trowbridge last Thursday (July 2) to learn what it is like to work for a leading nutrition business.

In a first for the company based at the White Horse Business Park, employees ran sessions for the pupils to taste the Cow & Gate range of pouches and sample award-winning healthy eating programme Eat Like a Champ to encourage healthy eating habits.

The group also took part in an interactive office tour and heard from different departments to inspire their thinking around future careers.

Helen Messenger, Head of Corporate Communications, said: “We were delighted to be able to host the pupils and bring to life our mission of health through food to as many people as possible.

“This is part of our commitment to engaging with our local community, a commitment which Bitham Brook shares.”

Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition UK is part of Danone Group, which aims to improve the nutrition and health of mums and children from conception to age three through science-based products.

Headteacher of Bitham Brook Primary School David Ross said: “The children had a fantastic time taste-testing, finding out more about healthy eating and understanding how a modern business works.

“I am very grateful to Danone for giving the children such an excellent experience and further building the good partnership that the school has with Danone.”
