Over £30,000 is to be donated to local good causes following the record-breaking success of last year’s Emergency Services Show.
A presentation event is being held in Devizes next week to share the proceeds of the 2014 show at Hullavington with 21 organisations that support the work of the emergency services or help with the show itself.
Amongst the beneficiaries will be Wiltshire Air Ambulance, SWIFT Medics, WILSAR, Great Western Air Ambulance, Bobby Van Trust and three blood bike charities.
As well as chief officers from Wiltshire Police, Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, South Western Ambulance Service and Highways England, guests will include representatives of the main show sponsors Vodafone and Grist Group.
The Emergency Services Show is organised by a committee of volunteers drawn from the blue light services.
This year’s event – to be held at Hullavington Airfield near Chippenham on Sunday, September 13 – will be the tenth, and the team is already busy planning a number of anniversary celebrations.
On-line trader/exhibitor registration and general ticket sales will open next month at www.emergencyservicesshow.com
